First, a little disclaimer...

It can be an amazing experience to free your feet. However, if you've been wearing traditional shoes most of your life, your feet are most likely not in their optimal state and are going to need time to stretch, strengthen, and adapt. Please transition slowly!

(By the way, Restorative Exercise can give you the skills & strength you need to safely transition to minimalist shoes! Email me to schedule a private session.)

Soft Star Shoes Soft leather shoes hand-made by elves in Oregon. These are some of my all-time favorites - how could you not like shoes that are as comfortable as slippers?

*Unshoes - Another minimalist sandal that's hand-made in the US. In addition to traditional huarache styles, they also make a couple of unique and innovative styles without toe straps.

My Happy Feet Alignment Socks - These socks have toe dividers that stretch the small muscles in your feet. This helps your feet function better both barefoot and shod.

Altra - I haven't personally tried these but I've heard a lot of good things about them. They've got a little extra cushioning, but they're still zero drop and have a nice wide toe box, which makes them a great transition shoe.

*Lems - Shoes with a more traditional look. They have dressier styles, as well as waterproofable boots.

*Luna Sandals - Minimalist shoes for warmer weather. These are hand-made in Seattle, and it's obvious that a lot of thought and care has gone into designing a truly functional sandal.
